Choosing the right size is simple — everything you need is on this page. These tools are a guide, not a guarantee. You need to make the final call.
You know your dog best, so consider their sleep style, your available space, how big your dog is for their breed, and whether you prefer a snug, cosy fit or extra room to stretch out. Many breeds can suit two sizes depending on these factors.

Breed Notes: Sizing can be a bit tricky with American Staffies. We generally recommend a Large, as we've had customers who bought a Medium wish they’d gone bigger—and others who bought a Large but felt Medium would’ve done the job. When in doubt, we lean towards Large—you can always sleep comfortably in a roomy bed, but not one that’s too snug. Final call is yours: does your pup love to stretch out, or curl up? That could help you decide.

Breed Notes: Australian Shepherds are very similar in size to Border Collies — most we see are happiest in a Large bed. One of our customer pups, Ollie, started in a Medium but moved up to a Large just before his 2nd birthday. If your Aussie is on the smaller side or loves to curl up, a Medium might work, but for most, we recommend going Large to allow plenty of room as they grow and fill out. Final call is up to you.

Breed Notes: For most Bernese Mountain Dogs, the Large bed is the right fit. We’ve heard from customers that the XL (see review below) can be too big — unless your Bernese is exceptionally large or likes to really sprawl out. As always, check the dimensions and think about how your dog sleeps (curled up vs stretched out) before deciding.

Breed Notes: Border Collies sit right between Medium and Large, but most of the customer photos we see on Instagram are in a Large. We’ve seen way more Large than Medium — especially for average-sized or bigger Border Collies, or when there’s more than one sharing the bed. Medium can work for smaller Collies who like to curl up, but if you’re unsure, we’d lean Large. Better to have a bit of room than not enough. Also consider where the bed will go — will a Large take up too much space? And think about your dog: smaller or taller? Do they curl up tight or stretch out like a starfish? That’ll help guide your call.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Large for Boxers—it’s the perfect fit. Just like Dalmatians and GSPs, we’ve only ever seen Boxers happily settled in a Large. It gives them plenty of room without being oversized. Large is our go-to for this breed.

Breed Notes: Australian Cattle Dogs are best suited to a Medium bed. It’s the right fit for most — just be sure to double-check the dimensions if you have a particularly big individual or want extra room.

Breed Notes: Most Cavoodles are a great fit for a Small bed. We have seen a few in Mediums, but it tends to look quite roomy. Unless your Cavoodle is on the bigger side or loves to sprawl out, we recommend sticking with a Small.

Breed Notes: Most adult Cocker Spaniels we've seen are in a Medium bed — it offers a bit of room and tends to suit their size well. That said, if your dog is on the smaller side or loves to curl up tightly, you might prefer a snugger fit with a Small. As always, check the bed dimensions and think about how your dog likes to sleep before making your call.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Large for Dalmatians—it's the perfect fit. In fact, we've only ever seen Dalmatians in a Large. It gives them plenty of room to stretch out, and we've even had customers with two Dalmatians happily sharing a Large bed together.

Breed Notes: We’ve seen both Miniature and Standard Dachshunds on our beds, and the right size can depend on how your dog likes to sleep. Multiple pups? See photos, we've seen mediums and even larges used. Mini Dachshunds typically suit a Small, especially if they like to curl up tight. Standard Dachshunds are often better in a Medium, especially if they like to sprawl a little or share their bed with a toy or blanket. Keep in mind their long body shape — it’s better to have a bit more length than not enough. If you’re unsure, check the dimensions and think about how your dog tends to lie when they’re truly relaxed.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Medium for most English Staffies—it’s a great fit for their compact, muscular build. If you’ve got more than one Staffy sharing a bed, or yours is on the larger side, you could consider a Large for extra space. But for a single, average-sized Staffy, Medium is the way to go. Breed Notes: Finnish Lapphunds are favoured more towards a Large bed — it gives them a nice, roomy fit. If yours is on the smaller side and loves to curl up tight, you could consider a Medium instead.

Breed Notes: Small or Medium? That’s up to you — but here’s what we usually see: most Frenchies fit comfortably in a Small. A Medium works well if you’ve got two sharing, or just want to give your pup a bit more room to stretch out. Here's some photos of both sizes for reference.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Large for most German Shepherds—it’s the best all-round fit. You can see in the photos below the same dog in both a Large and an Extra Large, so you can compare for yourself. Some customers do go for the XL if they’ve got a particularly big Shepherd who loves to fully stretch out—but keep in mind, the XL takes up a fair bit of space. Final call is yours, but we find Large suits the average German Shepherd perfectly.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Large for German Shorthaired Pointers—it's spot on for their size and shape. We've only ever seen them in a Large, and it fits perfectly. Just like with Dalmatians, we've even had two GSPs share a Large bed comfortably.

Breed Notes: To nobody’s surprise, we recommend the XL. These gentle giants need room to stretch, sprawl, and snooze in style. Just make sure to check the bed dimensions—it's a big bed, so think about the space it’ll take up in your home before you order.

Breed Notes: For most Greyhounds, we recommend a Large. Some of the bigger boys and girls may need an XL, but just a heads up: XL is a serious unit and takes up a fair bit of space in your home (please please check the measurements first). For the average Grey Hound, Large is the sweet spot.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Large for most Golden Retrievers. It's the perfect fit for the average adult Golden — we've very rarely seen one in a Medium. If your Golden is on the smaller side and loves to curl up tightly, you could consider a Medium... but in almost every case, we still suggest Large for the best comfort and stretch room.

Breed Notes: For Huskies, we recommend a Large. It's the right fit for the vast majority — roomy enough for stretching out, without taking over your space. Only consider the Extra Large if you have two dogs sharing or a particularly oversized Husky.

Breed Notes: We recommend a Medium for most adult Kelpies. While some customers have opted for a Large, it’s usually more space than needed. In fact, we've even seen a few switch down from Large to Medium (like Neddy in the photos below). Medium is a great fit—but if your Kelpie loves to stretch out, you can always size up for a bit of extra room. The final call is yours.

Breed Notes: We typically recommend a Medium for Labradors — but it's nearly a 50/50 split. Some Labs love to sprawl, others curl up. We've even seen our mate Sambar go from a Medium to a Large as he grew (see photos below). If your Lab’s on the bigger side or prefers to stretch out, consider the Large — otherwise, Medium is usually fine.

Breed Notes: We usually recommend a Large bed for Labradoodles. While some can fit snugly into a Medium, most are more comfortable in the Large — especially if they like to stretch out. (One of our staff members has a Labradoodle and owns both sizes — the Large gets way more use!)

While some customers have gone for an Extra Large, we’ve also had a few come back after trying the XL and switch to a Large instead. If you’ve got an absolute unit of a Rottie who loves to sprawl out, XL might be worth considering—but remember, it’s a big bed! Final call is yours, but for the average Rottweiler, Large is the sweet spot.

We’ve seen plenty of Weimaraners comfortably in a Large, including Bernie (in the photos below) who actually downsized from an Extra Large to a Large. Unless your pup is particularly big or a serious sprawler, Large is the sweet spot.

Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely! If you’re near Cronulla, you can visit our retail store—every size is available for your dog to hop on and try.
Ordering online? No worries! When your bed arrives, if you’re unsure about the size, we recommend laying out the cover in the spot you plan to put it and letting your pup have a lie-down before opening the vacuum seal. This way, you can check the fit without breaking the seal.
Remember: once the vacuum seal is opened, the bed can’t be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons.
Our beds are generous sizes.
it's important to consider both the size of your dog and the space where you will have the bed.
Refer the external bed dimensions and measure your space to ensure it will fit where you intend to keep it.
- They don't consider the space the bed will be used - this is the #1 issue. Please measure the external bed dimensions against where you intend to place the bed.
- They think their dog is bigger than it is. Please double check our photos of customer dogs in the beds, it's very helpful.
- Also consider if your dog likes room to stretch or to be snug, think about how they currently sleep.
Our suggestions are based on positive feedback and observation of customer photos, we only list suggestions for breeds we are certain on, but we do not guarantee it.
The only way to guarantee size, is to start with a suggestion, measure your dog, consider your space and make a final choice after all of that.
